Our Winery
Peter Drayton Wines is a winery on Hermitage Road, Pokolbin, in the lower Hunter Valley. Established in 2001 on the Ironbark Hill Estate, the focus is on growing and making the Hunter Valley's signature varieties on-site. Semillon and Shiraz are the heart of the range, alongside Italian and Spanish alternatives under the Anomaly label and small-batch single-vineyard wines in the TJD range.
The cellar door is open Wednesday to Sunday at 694 Hermitage Road, Pokolbin.
The Range
Our range runs from approachable everyday wines through to museum releases from exceptional vintages. Semillon is our signature white, picked early and bottled without oak to develop its trademark toasty complexity over time. Shiraz is the Hunter's great red, with restrained alcohol and fine-grained tannins that reward patience.
The TJD range showcases small-batch wines from old estate vines, while the Anomaly range explores Italian and Spanish varieties, including Sangiovese, Barbera, Vermentino, Fiano, and Graciano, grown right here in Pokolbin.
