Peter Drayton is a fifth generation descendant of the famed Hunter Valley winemaking dynasty, the Drayton family. 

Peter has a unique story, fiercely determined and independent. Peter’s range reflects his love and respect for the tradition that is the Hunter Valley and the future and optimism that is also the Hunter Valley.

Peter's Ironbark Hill Vineyard produces wine from the grape varieties for which the Hunter Valley is famous, including Shiraz, Semillon and Chardonnay. It also has extensive plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Verdelho and the CSIRO hybrid grape Tyrian. An exciting range of alternate varieties are now thriving, given these Mediterranean styles are extremely suitable and receptive to the Hunter’s climate. Complimenting it all is an impressive Sparkling wine range and selection of Liqueur Fortified wines. 

With a bustling construction company and a deep seeded passion for his wine business, Peter has successfully combined the two to create an impressive outfit and must visit location which includes a Cellar Door, winery, custom built Brewhouse, restaurant, wedding chapel, catered function centre and boutique accommodation.
